New Zealand Motorcycle Awards

The New Zealand Motorcycle Awards have been created to raise the profile of both the motorcycling industry and the biking community in general.

The Awards are presented by Motorcycle Trader and News in association with Motorcycling New Zealand.

The Awards provide an opportunity to highlight the positive aspects of motorcycling, and also congratulate companies and individuals who successfully raise standards of responsibility and safety.

Because many people perceive motorcycling as a dangerous activity, it's vital to encourage increased safety through defensive riding and responsible attitudes. To do this, the ACC Safety and Training Award was introduced as part of the Awards in 2003. ACC sponsored this award in 2004.

Brian Bernard was named as the winner of the New Zealand Motorcycle Awards' ACC Safety and Training Award. Highly experienced, Brian is the head instructor for Motorcycling New Zealand's advanced road race training courses and has led the way working with young motorcyclists to ensure they understand safe motorcycling.
