They're off! On the Ride of a Lifetime

By Mario

Our Ride of a Lifetime competition winners have been drawn and are all set to head for Australia to enjoy an epic riding experience.

At the start of the year we announced a huge prize draw for groups of riders taking the Ride Forever Gold training course together. By teaming up with two mates and taking the training, riders got the chance to win their choice of three all-expenses paid rides of a lifetime across the ditch.

As promised the draw was held on 30th June. Dipping his hand in the helmet full of entries was Sgt Graeme Bergh, the supervising instructor of Road Policing Trainers for NZ Police.

Sgt Bergh draws the Ride of a Lifetime winner with the help of Dave Keilty, ACC motorcycles programme manager and Carey Griffiths, ACC senior programme manager for motorcycles.

The winners were a group from Christchurch who took their Ride Forever Gold training course with Dan Ornsby. The organiser was absolutely rapt when we told him. So, congratulations to the winners, commiserations to all the rest, and we’ll let you know how the group get on with their Ride of a Lifetime.
