Motorcycle Rego Cashback programme

The Cashback offer has ended on 30 June 2025. Find out what's next.

About the Motorcycle Rego Cashback programme

Ride Forever’s Motorcycle Rego Cashback programme ended on 30 June 2025. The programme has been running since August 2019 as a fixed term campaign and has now reached its end.

Over the past 6 years, many riders have benefited from the subsidy – receiving $828,600 (excl. GST) cash back on their motorcycle regos.

Applications submitted before 30 June 2025 will still be eligible for their second Cashback. When you’re eligible to request your second payment, we’ll email you a reminder to apply. Please contact us if you change your contact details between first and second applications.

If we have any questions about your application, we’ll get in touch with you.

What’s next

Ride Forever and ACC are committed to minimising the incidence and impact of motorcyclist injuries in New Zealand. We are focused on achieving this through initiatives that provide riders with sound information and access to training, so they can make better choices.

Going forward the insights from 6 years of Cashback will help Ride Forever and ACC identify new opportunities to enable riders to do more of what they love.

As per their levy results, ACC will introduce a 25% discount for riders who have successfully completed advanced rider training on 1 July 2026. We will share more information closer to the time.

FAQ’s

Can I still sign up for Cashback?

No, applications closed on 30 June 2025. If you did not apply before that date, you can no longer join the programme.

I applied before the deadline. Will I get my second payment?

Yes, if you received your first payment, your second payment is guaranteed. We will email you when it is time to apply for the second payment.

What if I applied but haven’t received my first payment yet?

If you applied before 30 June 2025 and have not been paid, please contact us with your reference number, or even if you do not have one. We will help you sort it out.

Why did the programme end?

The Cashback programme was always planned as a fixed-term campaign. After six years and several extensions, it reached its natural end. ACC is reviewing the results and planning something new to better support riders.

Are more discounts coming?

ACC has recognised the success of Ride Forever’s Cashback programme and is reviewing the campaign results. This review will help shape a new ACC initiative to reward riders who complete advanced rider training. More details will be available by 1 July 2026 on the Ride Forever website and ACC’s levy updates page.
